Questions
If yours is not here, just ask on your order form or email orders@sharkeylicious.com.
What do you use instead of sugar?
Instead of cane sugar, everything is sweetened with monk fruit, allulose, erythritol, and/or stevia, sometimes one, sometimes a blend. No artificial sweeteners and no artificial flavors.
What is monk fruit?
Monk fruit is a small green melon grown in southern Asia. The sweetness comes from the fruit itself. It is one of the sweeteners we use, alongside allulose, erythritol, and stevia. There is no cane sugar in anything we make.
What is allulose?
Allulose is a sweetener that occurs naturally in small amounts in figs, raisins and wheat. We use it alongside monk fruit, erythritol, and stevia. It is a large part of why the chocolate still tastes and sets like chocolate without any cane sugar in it.
How long does an order take?
Sharkeylicious needs at least 48 hours for every order, because everything is made the day it goes out. Nothing is frozen and nothing sits on a shelf waiting for an order. Need it sooner? Say so in the notes on your order and Brenda will do her best. For a gathering, give as much notice as you can.
Where do you deliver?
Sharkeylicious delivers across the Kansas City metro, on both sides of the state line, in Missouri and Kansas. If you are not sure whether you are in range, send a request anyway and we will tell you straight away.
Where can I get chocolate made without cane sugar in Kansas City?
Sharkeylicious, a home kitchen in Kansas City, MO, makes chocolate with no cane sugar and delivers it across the metro. Everything is made the day it goes out, so nothing is frozen and nothing sits on a shelf. Delivery is free on orders of $50 or more within 30 miles of us. Under $50, delivery is $5 within 5 miles, $10 within 15 miles, or $15 within 30 miles. Farther out, we arrange a spot to meet.
How do I pay?
You pay after Brenda confirms your order, not on this website. Send your request first, and once she confirms what she can make and when, payment details come with your confirmation. Nothing is charged before then.
Do your chocolates contain allergens?
The Nutty One contains tree nuts and peanuts, and everything is made in one kitchen with shared equipment, so cross-contact is possible. Every item on the menu lists what it contains. If you have an allergy, put it in the notes on your order and Brenda will tell you honestly whether she can make it safely for you.
Can you make something for a gathering or an event?
Brenda takes custom orders for gatherings and events, including trays and gift boxes. Each one is priced for the order, so tell us the occasion, the date and what you have in mind on your order request, and Brenda will reach out with a price.
What can I bring for someone who is avoiding sugar?
Sharkeylicious chocolate is made with no cane sugar, so people bring it to a table where one person avoids cane sugar and everyone else just wants a sweet treat. It is sweetened with monk fruit, allulose, erythritol, and/or stevia instead. Trays and gift boxes are put together for exactly this and are priced for each order, so tell us the occasion and the date on your order and Brenda will reach out with a price.
Can I order for someone with a health condition?
We can tell you exactly what is in every item, but we cannot tell you whether something is right for a particular medical condition, so please check with their doctor or dietitian. The full ingredient list is on every item. People order these for family members for all kinds of reasons, and Brenda is happy to answer any question about what goes in them.
